It’s been years in the making, but it’s finally here!!!
MY NEW COMPUTER
And not just any new computer… this one was BUILT BY MEEEEE!!!! Yep, I went through a super fast-paced crash course on how to build a computer, and then set about putting that knowledge into practice. What I mean by that is I didn’t actually take a ‘course’, I watched a ton of tech videos and did some google searching. And for me that was adequate. When it got down to it though it was all the wires and cables that mostly had me stumped. Not many tutorials focus on what cords are what and what goes where. But I persevered and managed to get it working, yay!! And I have about two dozen cords left over, lol!
I decided to go big with this build because I do LOTS of video editing, as well as a lot of creative stuff using big files in busy programs. And I’m sure I’ll be doing some kick-ass gaming too. And livestreaming!! Must not forget livestreaming. That’s one of the main things I wasn’t able to do on my previous computer (Acer Aspire V laptop). And I figured I may as well go full RGB rainbow unicorn puke as much as possible. I used RGB lighting at every step as much as I could, and as you can see from the picture it has turned out AMAZING!!! I also added in a chunky quartz crystal lamp. I pulled out the lamp cord, and then just poked one strip of the Corsair Lighting Node Pro into the quartz. And if I do say so myself I think it looks really great! The colours shine through the white quartz really nicely.
Besides looking good, this computer is filled with some really awesome hardware. Here’s the full list of the build:
