Digital artwork, tshirt designs, skeleton key jewellery, and the wild rantings of a creative lunatic.
SwanStar Designs is the fancy name I’ve given myself. In reality I’m called Kathryn Swan (though my friends know me as Kate).
I make digital and traditional artwork, which is heavily influenced by pop-culture, fantasy and sci-fi.
My digital artwork is originally designed for colour-limited shirt-a-day sites, like teeVillain and Ript Apparel, and I have been very lucky to have had a few prints so far. I sell my digital artwork in various online shops. You can see ALL of my designs in my Gallery, and you can find updates on my Social media channels, as well as on my Blog.
MY ORIGIN STORY
I started SwanStar Designs a few years ago when I made my very first pieces of jewellery out of rusty old skeleton keys, and I set up an online shop with Etsy in November 2012. Some months later I ventured into the art world, rekindling my love of drawing and designing, and I have found my happy place in the land of tshirt design.
I also work full time as a web geek of sorts, so making jewellery and drawing pictures is my escape from the rat race.
Oh, and in case you’re wondering I’m an Aussie based in London, and I’m going to build a Tardis one day.
